I just had to let you know and every one else here.
I was talking to some one who wanted to add a gallery to their forum as the gallery sortware they have for the forum expired and they need anther one.
Right now they use mkportal as the portal but do not care much for the gallery it comes with.
I was showing her sites the use different galleries that work with IPB and I showed her Fletch's site for ocPortal as it was the only one I could think of that has a gallery.
She fell in love with the fact it supports videos so that sold her right there on getting ocportal over the rest i  showed her.
But she also loved the way your site was set up fletch and she was amazed how pretty it looked and well designed.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

Wooo Hoooo, Amy!

I feel like a minor 'Celeb'. I think I'll go off and implement a few more ocPortal features.

Which, I suppose, is the crux of the matter. It is ocPortal that does it all - we users just have to find the best way to "deploy & display".

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

This is a very good point you've made Fletch. OCP has some case studies linked off the main page, but I'm wondering if there would be more benefit to OCP to have a thread here dedicated to screenshots of deployed sites. This would allow visitors and members alike to expand their imaginations with regards to what can be done with OCP. This in turn might have a snowball effect generating more experimentation and more showcase sites/possibilities. My $0.02 worth…

BTW: you do have a nicely laid out site Fletch!

Thanks SD. I accept the accolade in the manner in which it was intended. As a sexagenerian I feel proud to be able to keep up (just) with the more nimble-minded technophiles!

Not enough 'corporate-backslapping' here becasue, as you say, there are a vast number of really well laid-out sites using ocPortal. I won't even start to name the ones that have caught my attention, all in one post, as I am bound to forget to mention somebody worthwhile. But I think I shall take a lead from your post and comment from time to time on the ones I stumble across. So, if the members would be kind enough to add their URLs to their sigs, I will make it a point to trawl across to have a look - and marvel.

Go on, peeps, don't be shy!
