Enabling and disabling

How do I turn off IP validation all together?

When traveling and my ip address changes 8 times in one day I have to validate every single time.  I don't want to have to validate  every single time my address changes just to log in.

Community saint

Admin Zone > Security > Usergroups

Then edit the Administrators usergroup (or whichever group is affected) and look in the Security section. That's where the only IP validation settings I know of are located. It should be unchecked by default though so unless you turned it on at some point…

It is already [] unticked.

Also I have [] unticked in another section "Enforce IP addresses for sessions".

So, if IP changes I still get the message to validate IP by logging in to email account
and clicking on the validation link.

I just want to temporarily disable this. Is this possible?

Is it ticked for some other group? Maybe the user it is happening to is in more than one?

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
