I don't know if i should be posting this here, the bug tracker or both but i was testing the Recommend to a friend but that is listed below some pages and i filled in the information but when i submit it i get and error that says
A system e-mail could not be sent. This error may be preventing staff e-mail notifications, so please contact the staff manually to inform them of the problem.
.

The other problem is with a theme. I used the theme creator and got a pretty good look just got to edit stuff with code and images but i get missing language entry so i have images of both the problems They are separated by the red line.

Hi Oster,

Regarding your email problem, it will be host specific.

If you'd like me to do some digging into it, I'm happy to do so but I'll need server access (e.g. FTP), via a bug report ticket:

Okay thank you very much for that language fix i appreciate it. As for the email problem Im using Arvixe it was preinstalled so i dont know if that could be a problem. Its weird how email works for registration but not for sending a link to someone via email.

Is there anywere that i can look to try and get you a answer? Dont worry im fine with code also ive been working with it since i was a child. And now taking classes for software development. I would just rather try this than hand over information (no offense) unless i need too. If need be is there a folder you would be mainly in so i can just give you access to that?

And BTW This is the only cms that i found for me to be what i wanted which lets me do whatever i want. There really are no restrictions. It took some digging really and trial and error through many other cms and this is by far the best.

Hi Oster,

Thanks. As this is Arvixe, I should be able to use our test account – yes, I can reproduce on there. Investigating…

^^^ That's the fix :).

I have mentioned to Arvixe about the issue, but I am happy for us to maintain the workaround.

Thank you very much you have been a great help, you work so fast! Your fixes are highly appreciated.

Now i was wondering is there a file i can edit to change some of the format when someone gets and email since i am using a dark theme the font is light so on emails with a white background is kinda hard to see.

And I like helping out so if i find anymore bugs or if i have anyother questions i will be sure to let you know.

The template is MAIL.tpl. However, I just ran a test and it seemed okay, so I'm curious what you are seeing.

So i did not finish customizing my site yet i have to change some stuff in the css so i don't know if this is where the email is getting the color from but here is a photo. Inside the red outline is what I was talking about.

And than you going to hate me lol found another bug this is when your logged in and use the recommend feature it gives you two txtboxes right away to enter emails but when you only want to recommend to one person/email it doesn't let you and wants at least two.

Ah. Well the emails largely use the same CSS as the website. If you started with a dark theme, then have tried to make boxes light, and text dark, you're in for a big headache – as you're essentially going to have to invert every colour there is. If you want light boxes, go for a light theme – you can then in particular dark elements as and where required.

Actually, this is fixed. Should be fixed in 9.0.12, and also a hotfix for it somewhere.

What e-mail program was your screenshot from? If it's Outlook, perhaps this is a problem in there. Because as you can see in my screenshot, the colours are very different.

I am investigating.

Let us know if you have any other issues regarding dark themes, as there have been a few little issues in the past we've had to fix (it's an extreme case, mathematically).

I am looking into how Outlook displays our emails, but if you can tell me the software and version it will help…

It's okay, I've reproduced. Outlook.com is fairly new, and apparently pretty deficient. Fixes coming soon.

These changes are required. The CSS to your theme's global.css. The MAIL.tpl one directly to the involved file (don't override it to your theme).
