Is there a page visible to an individual member and a management group

I have about 200 users planned on the site.  Is there a way to have an area visible by the management group and the individual employee?

The best way to do this, make a special member group for it. Set page access only for that group members.

Hope this give you a way…

@Harry, I thought about this but it would require 200 special groups.

Does anyone know if there is a way to use a catalogue so that only a specific group and an individual user (not in that group) can view the entry (without creating another group for each user)?

Hi,

I can't think of anything out of the box. The system was designed really for things between people, or to an audience – personal management for individuals is not something we've really designed the system for.

Of course, a programmer could custom code something for you.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
