Im needing a site to store any pictures I use for my ocportal website.
Im currently using a sport specific site to upload into, from which I use the image address to link into my ocportal site.(so im not using lots of storage space on my own site).
Its not an ideal system as some pics are not sport related and feel its a tad limited for my purposes.

Im realising I really need a photo storage site to store all my pictures on.
I have opened an account on Flickr, but when I used the image address from flickr.. it did not work.
Same picture(size and all) worked perfectly from the other sports site(using picture address).

Before i go and sign up with another site.. is there any you would recomend for this purpose.. or is there something Im doing wrong in Flicker.

I cant use photobucket as my workplace is blocking it.

Appreciate any thoughts and ideas.

PS. Geo meta tagging is a must.

Are the pictures to be viewed in the gallery or another content area of the site?

I am mostly using them in news articles and post in the forum.

I have tried other picture sharing sites such as smugmug and photobucket, plus a few others.

But the problems I'm running into is that they are either a paid site or my workplace blocks them.

My workplace does not block flickr, which makes me think that perhaps there is a privacy setting stopping me from accessing it via a pic address or something else.

I like smugmug which works fine, but not keen getting stuck with a paid site.
Photobucket is blocked at work.

Im also working on a little project that will need a database of pictures with meta geo tagging, so that pics can automatically be linked to a map of trails.

Just thought I would bounce the question, to see if anyone has some ideas.

Honoured member

Can you not just use the attachments system within ocPortal?

Does your hosting have lower limits?

I do quite like flikr as an external source however
