Can you look at the admin zone - Content - news if the article is there visible? If yes click on edit and save it again.

Any special settings on the news block, e.g. a category filter, or it set to only show blog posts?

 • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
 • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
 • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
 • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Another possibility is if it isn't the main_news block, but e.g. main_forum_news (which would display as 'news' but actually only show topics in the defined news forum).

It is always fun trying to imagine what a user is doing, but it is MORE fun deciphering the actual code.

If you post the code you are using, it may be that somebody here can spot something that will take care of your issue.

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Ok if your referring to the code from the website here is part of which shows that news block that states no news yet…as well as the one i just added..

      <h2 style="text-align: center;">
   <span style="color:#cc00ff;"><em><b>Come Join us here for our GRAND OPENING coming soon!</b></em></span><img alt=":)" class="top_vertical_alignment" src="http://www.twentieth-century-shopping.com/themes/default/images/ocf_emoticons/smile.png" style="font-size: 13px;" title="" / /></h2>

</div></section>

Thanks, but that wasn't the 'code' I was looking for.

If you go to the bottom of your home/site/landing page you will see an 'Edit this page' link. If you open that up you should see the 'code' I am referring to. Copy that and paste it into a post using the
…
parameters.

Then we can actually see how you've got things set up.

Visited your site and notice that you only have ONE news post, and ONE news category, and NO Blog entries, so I am surprised that ocP is throwing those curved balls at you.

Shall wait for your response …

Yes, it's as I guessed – you have a main_forum_news block rather than a main_news block. This draws 'news' actually from forum topics.
