Take a look at ocPortal Tutorial: Disaster recovery, and if that doesn't help, ask again in here.

Sorry no solutions there, now my webadmin has become a normal user, and the adminzone still not appear, the error msg when opening some of my page Is "Sorry, webadmin does not have access to use the 'block' Comcode tag (usage blocked)."

Later clear the Comcode page cache from Admin Zone <<< Yes I will do this at once get back the webadmin full rights access as usual

I don't quite understand.

Do you HAVE or HAVE NOT full admin control?

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Yes before this ok :$ , everything is ok but after edit my webadmin (administrator) profile features today, all my access to adminzone has gone after refreshing the screen, still can login with webadmin username and password, now webadmin identity has become like normal new user.

Sir how to fix the webadmin (administrator), I am using ver 7.6.1 and install direct from cPanel, can access all system but for this problem don't know where to start. Disaster topic is not related (correct me if I'm wrong) O_o  :(

Did you read the whole topic?

Did you follow the instructions about 'Changing a login password':
  • via the database
  • via the disk

The only thing I can suggest is to follow the instructions about changing a login password via the database and creating a 'new' Admin user with the ID of '2'.

Then, if you already have an entry in there with a user with an ID of '2', edit that entry and give the user another ID number.

Then try logging in using the new admin credentials. That should get you back in with admin privileges.

You can delete the other (incorrect) member details in ocPortal once you've logged in.

P.S. It is nearly 5 to 4 in the morning, my time, so I'm off to bed. If you aren't successful with your try to get back in, post it here and somebody from another time zone is sure to pick up on it. Good luck.

Can you confirm that ocPortal still thinks your admin user is still in the Administrators group buy going to the members page and seeing what primary usergroup it says you are in.

The disaster recovery tutorial does have the answers but I am guessing English is not your first language so you are having a hard time understanding? I will try to help :)

I believe this one is happening because you changed the admin username so now your website does not know who owns the page you are viewing.

Just edit the pages you are seeing that error on and set an owner for it to a user that exists.

I believe this one is happening because you changed the admin username so now your website does not know who owns the page you are viewing.

This also happens when the usergroup you are in does not have permissions to the specific tag.

Seeing this:

webadmin identity has become like normal new user.
and it looks like rodzansms may have accidentally changed their primary usergroup, in which case I can't see anything in disaster recovery to fix that.

If that is the problem, which checking the member list should verify, then I can show the table change which should fix it.

"Can you confirm that ocPortal still thinks your admin user is still in the Administrators group buy going to the members page and seeing what primary usergroup it says you are in."

No I don't think my website when logon have identified it as the administrator anymore.

I have tried to used the upgrader.php and put my website "under maintanance", now the login already failed because of I've already reset the administrator login via phpMYadmin using the MD5 method. (refer to member "Fletch" "Did you follow the instructions about 'Changing a login password':via the database, via the disk")

I have lost here.

For those Ocportal member thank you for helping me but my it did'nt solve anything yet.

And still pray if someone could help me, God bless you all.

OK, we will try putting you back into the admin group. I don't know if you have used myPhpAdmin before, I'll assume you haven't and give you step-by-step instructions.

From your cPanel click on phpMyadmin

- In the left column click on the ocportal table, the one starting with _ocp (it might be _ocp7, or something else)

- In the left column click on ocp?_f_members .

- Now in the table, click on "Edit" on the admin row. It should be the second row.

- Now find the "m_primary_group" field. If the value is 2, then the problem is NOT with the group admin is assigned to and you can skip the rest of these steps.

- If the value for "m_primary_group" is not 2, then change it to 2.

- Now save the changes by clicking on the "Go" button at the bottom of the page, the one next to the "reset" button.

You should now be able to log in as admin.

Wow, that was quite an incredible demonstration of help from various people in the community :).

I will see if we can modify future versions of ocPortal to not allow you to remove the last remaining administrator.

Become a fan of ocPortal on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Twitter.
Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Congratulations on your persistence rodzansms, and yes, stick with ocPortal and your grasp of the new information technology will grow with leaps and bounds.

Whether ocPortal will turn you into an "advance web developer" is entirely up to you, and with your enthusiasm and commitment, who is to say you cannot achieve it?

Mustn't forget to mention temp's patience and understanding. Good one, mate!
