Hey there,

I installed ocPortal 6 RC1 and it seems absolutely amazing! I love this thing. I will be creating some stuff for it, such as more themes, and probably modifications or some addons or some such thing. Or maybe modifications to some addons.

Keywords are automatically generated and it looks really great. I like how it picks the common words. That's just great!

However, for some reason the first word in a post I just made is the word "title" and I did not type title anywhere in the article. It is neither anywhere in the article or the HTML so I have no idea where it gets this from.

Also, when I use a heading 3 on the Format drop down for headings this appears in the description:  ——————-

Other than that, so far I haven't had any major issues. I had one thing come up when I clicked in the editor window before the page was done loading after I clicked the Source button I think. It didn't like something anyway but it said it was just showing it to me because I am staff so its ok with me.

Nice flash slideshow thingy on your home page =) I can't wait to just get right in and play around with all these features. Thank you thank you thank you!

Thanks for that :).

Those keyword generation issues will be fixed, I'm amazed no one has spotted them before, they're really old bugs.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
