Using Tempcode logic to identify specific pages

Hi, I am trying to write a comcode logic that executes css for a specific page (in this case the :start page in welcome zone)

this is the closest I have come:

{+START,IF,{$PAGE,:start}}

{
+END}

any suggestions?

I want to do this because I need the :start page in the welcome zone to have a different background color (or add a background-image) for '
.global_middle_outer' css class to the rest of the website.

My reference:

Code

{+START,IF,{$MATCH_KEY_MATCH,:start}}
...
{+END}
or

Code

{+START,IF,{$EQ,{$ZONE}:{$PAGE},:start}}
...
{+END}
or if you don't care about zone

Code

{+START,IF,{$EQ,{$PAGE},start}}
...
{+END}

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Most of v10 docs apply to v9, and they have all been given a lot of review and improvement, so there may be more worked examples in here:

Thanks Chris! Quality stuff.

I applied the second one you listed and instead of using it in the global css file I applied it to the GLOBAL_HTML_WRAP template and wrote different classes for the :start page and the rest of the site.

I am slowly getting the grasp of ocPortal (really enjoying the total control of the front/back-end), something other popular cms' dont really give) and will move up to version 10 (composr) soon. I am actually doing this for my portfolio of websites (I want to develop websites) and using zones to display different websites is a plus.
