Moving forward with Composr

I received spam there but I have no idea how to remove it? The only option I saw was take responsibility which I did thinking this would give me options for dealing with it but the page refreshed and simply showed I viewed it but no new options? How do I get rid of this (short of deleteing it in the DB)

Hey Duck-

Is the spam part of a an existing topic or was it a new topic?

If the latter, just go to the forum page and tick off the topic in the right column and then choose "Delete topics" form the Topic/Poll actions" dropdown menu.

If spam is an issue on your site, you might want to consider some sponsorship of the Spammer Database feature request:
0000290: Spammer database - ocPortal feature tracker

If you could pledge 6 credits, we'd need only six more credits to have the feature added.

Let me know if the above does not work and I look around further.

Just checked and found that is the post is part of a thread, you can tick the post at the right and then choose "Delete posts" from the Marked post actions dropdown menu and hit the Proceed button.

This should cover both instances of dealing with spam in a thread.

Yes Bob Thanks. See I was looking at the Spam in Audit not realizing it was a post in a forum. Thanks for reminding me that.  

On that note: If any developers are reading this it might be a good idea to modify this behaviour for the future since it is not very intuitive (at least for those of us new to the cms).  

I mean I got an email saying there is a contact us message clicked the link in email to read which takes me to an Audit page with no options to deal with the message save for "Take Responsibility"  which when you see no other options you assume means take me to a page where i can delete and or ban etc which it doesn't.  Very confusing indeed.
