Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

How do you install the hot fixes?

I have a bad case of span tags itis....

I want to install the hot fix to cure my span crisis but I am lacking confidence incase I mess anything up. How do you guys (and gals) install the hot fixes?

Any tips?

Download the hotfix to your computer (from the link provided), then FTP it to your installation. The file(s) within the hotfix folder(s) will overwrite the ones that are already there without damaging anything.

Probably a good idea to take backups, or rename the respective files with the extension .BAK, whichever you find easier.

Just in case something goes awry!

Alas, I am bottling out of this. I shall wait for the auotmated next release.

A few dozen span tags are annoying when they corrupt my site map but the stress involved in the hot fix could be far far worse!
