block deleting

I would like to remove "Members" and "Usergroups" block on the top of the Forum page for the privacy of other members. I also would like to delete the "Statistics" block on the bottom of the Forum page. I tried a lot of ways but could not do it. Anybody can help me with this? Thank you so much.

Have you tried setting the view permissions off for those areas via permission tree?

Also this may be better served for the Deploying forum.

Like ocPortal? Want to thank Chris and gang somehow? Then help out in the chat room! It really needs your help! Just open it in a tab everytime you open your web browser, and when you hear a "ding", check it out!

Sorry, can't help with this one, but I'd follow mythus' pointer and see if that works.
I also would like to delete the "Statistics" block on the bottom of the Forum page.
Find the following in OCF_STATS.tpl (in your custom theme), around about lines 36-44 …

Code

               <tr>
                  <th class="de_th ocf_row1 ocf_stats_main_1">
                     {!FORUM_STATISTICS}:
                  </th>
                  <td class="ocf_stats_main_2">
                  {!FORUM_NUM_TOPICS,{NUM_TOPICS*}}, {!FORUM_NUM_POSTS,{NUM_POSTS*}}, {!FORUM_NUM_MEMBERS,{NUM_MEMBERS*}}<br />
                  {!NEWEST_MEMBER,<a href="{NEWEST_MEMBER_PROFILE_URL*}">{NEWEST_MEMBER_USERNAME*}</a>}<br />
                  {BIRTHDAYS}
                  </td>
… and delete.

Now save to the templates_custom folder of your custom theme and you should find that the Forum statistics: row is removed, retaining only the Users online: row.

Does that help?

Take my advice. I'm not using it!
