ocp copyright

Why is there no Ocportal copyright on my site. Is it just the theme. :( How do I add it back.

Because the site is yours and not ocProducts (ocPortal is the product, ocProducts is the company).

You created the site so the copyright is yours.

But if you look at the source code of any ocPortal page on your site you will see:

Code

Powered by ocPortal
7.1.5 version
Copyright ocProducts Limited
http://ocportal.com
Indicating the copyright for the underlying engine (ocPortal) is still acknowledged.

Ah forget it, I tried AGAIN to get an url address code to show using code bbcode so it would NOT be a link but show the markup and this software keeps making live links, I give up.

Just drop the http:// . It will still be clear to readers that you are referring to a URL if there is no http:// and its not a link.

Heya temp1024,

I have tried that but it still doesn't work, I still get a live link!

If you see the image linked you will see what text I have used, try it yourself, it's really quite frustrating!

http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq105/darkheart1941/d_1.jpg

adding the code tags to the code bits just drives me mad!?

Works for me: i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq105/darkheart1941/d_1.jpg .

EDIT: Note that I did not use any BBcodes, I just pasted the URL minus the http:// .

Have you tried adding the html code as I placed in the demo image, it behaves quite differently for some reason to just standard characters and the OCPortal seems to generate some weird response from the code tag!

Right, I think I understand what you want now. This:

{$COPYRIGHT`} - Site powered by ocportal.com .

The links is being generated by the anchor tag (i.e. the <a …>…</a> ). Just drop that and use the plain text as I have above.

Doesn't matter how I write this it just doesn't show how I need it to show so it is a clearly understood example.

To simplify this for anyone who would like to know how to do it please see image for details. :)

Right click and select view image for full version!

Using the code tag should be straight forward, its just [code]bla bla [/code]

For the main content of your pic, I get this:

Code

FIND:
{$COPYRIGHT`}

ADD:
 ~ Site Powered by <a href="http://ocportal.com/start.htm" title="OCPortal Software">OCportal</a>

So it looks like this:
{$COPYRIGHT`}  ~ Site Powered by <a href="http://ocportal.com/start.htm" title="OCPortal Software">OCportal</a>

The http:// link appears as text as expected. Ive done nothing special to it.

ADD:

Code

So it looks like this:

Code

{$COPYRIGHT`} ~ Site Powered by <a href="http://ocportal.com/start.htm" title="OCPortal Software">OCPortal</a>
