Loving OCPortal!

However, is there anyway to have a couple of a words on the calendar month view instead of an icon? The tool tip hover displays text but I would love to be able to use an abbreviation or a couple of words rather than an icon.

Any ideas?

Well-settled

Hey,

I think you'd need to change the CALENDAR_MONTH_ENTRY.tpl template. It is using event titles as tooltips over an image, so you'd move that out of a tooltip. {$TRUNCATE_LEFT*,{TITLE},5} should grab the first 5 characters of it.

Yes this worked rather well and I was able to use the right command to grab some extra chars at the end and put them on the line underneath. It has made me want to ask another question about the calendar but I will start another thread.

Thanks Dude!

The tip given above is very good but there seems to be another force acting on the cells of the calendar as the entries don`t quite line up to be the same in each square.

Something you mentioned in the other thread seems relevent in this one and my point above..

"as the templates for each cell are individual calls for just that day; ...

So probably it's better to just think of this as a styling issue. Style the cell to have no padding, then put a div inside it with padding,"

Is there another template padding out my cell and if I edited it would that mean all my entries could start in the same place in each cell? as now they creep a bit as you go down the page. Odd!

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Dude was spot on and solved the query.

The other force at work was of course the calendar.css and I was able to resize the cells to the size I wanted in the calendar.css and get the affect I wanted.

The final thing that made things not line up was due to spacing and so by moving the date number to the left of the cell in the calendar.css and making sure CALENDAR_MONTH_ENTRY.tpl had a
after the title everything is lined up perfectly.

Once again a big thanks to dude who cracked the case!
