Problems with privlages

Hi, I recently merged 2 members, myself, and the admin, as I am both. Now I am unable to have access to any admin areas. Anyone have an idea how to fix this? Thanks:o:(

I've responded to your PT on this topic.

If my suggestion works, perhaps you'd like to add another post here to explain what you needed to do to rectify it - for others that might trip over this problem in the future …

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Try this with phpMyAdmin:

Code

UPDATE ocp4_f_members SET m_primary_group=(SELECT id FROM ocp4_f_groups WHERE g_is_super_admin=1) WHERE m_username='admin'

That will give 'admin' super user access again. If you want to give your other user id admin access, then change m_username='admin' as required.

Ooooops, looks the code I posted was for an older version of ocPortal where table names were prefixed with ocp4_ instead of ocp_ . Sorry about that.

Try this:

Code

UPDATE ocp_f_members SET m_primary_group=(SELECT id FROM ocp_f_groups WHERE g_is_super_admin=1) WHERE m_username='admin'

Do you have a Samsung Galaxy S / Galaxy S II ? If so, why not check out my ScreenFree FM Radio .

For this sort stuff, make system backups from database before you change anything.  :)

If you have server access make a daily backup from domain. You can do it automatic or ask your host to do it for you.

I've responded to kohly in a PT, commiserating with the reinstall, but all the PT 'fixes' I suggested were predicated on a deeper knowledge of ocPortal than was the case.

Lesson for us long-term users before offering advice that the recipient is unable to fathom …!!

Sorry you felt the need to reinstall kohly, but to paraphrase what temp said in a post in a related topic, "Bummer, you should have waited a bit longer!"
