Well-settled

When enabling the side panels (both left and right), the forum view is now compressed and jarbled as per below:

Enabling either side at a time does not cause distorted text in the forum listings. The forum issue on the left side panel has been fixed!

Community saint

Curtis,

In a fixed width design, I don't think it is quite large enough to fit 2 side panels without doing some editing of the panel width and global_middle margins.

Change these until satisfied:

Code

.global_side_panel {
color: #090B0A;
width: 13em;
word-wrap: break-word;
}

#panel_right ~ .global_middle {
margin-right: 16em;
padding-right: 1.5em;
}
#panel_left ~ .global_middle {
margin-left: 16em;
padding-left: 1.5em;
}

jarbled

Not sure if this was a typo for 'garbled', but I love this spelling :lol:.

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

Actually for this, I can see that the last column has very excessive space allocated. In ocf.css for your theme,

Code

.ocf_forum_grouping_column5 {
   width: 27em;
}
to:

Code

.ocf_forum_grouping_column5 {
   width: 17em;
}

We'll consider this a bug.
