I heep getting these odd URLs in the log, so far, primarily for the server's shared IP address. Note that I have short URLs and New-style URLs enabled:
Any thought on what can be causing this? I suspect to might be related to CloudFlare but can't checlthat right now as it seems CloudLare's app in cPanel is not working in the eLief cPanel.
I noticed I can duplicate 1005 of the time by recommending an article of catalog or gallery entry:

I still don't quite follow. Are you saying when you recommend an article, you then instantly get server log entries with an anomalous "/" on the start of the URL? One that relates to the URL you were recommending, or a whole batch? Or is it when the sent e-mail itself is opened?
