That's odd. I could understand the Admin front page, because we pull the ocPortal news RSS feed onto there. Do you have maybe an RSS feed in your footer or something like that?

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Sorry, Chris. My bad.

It rectified itself a couple of days later, but I was in 'head-down-focussed-on-the next-thing' mode and clean forgot to update that the 'problem' had fixed itself.

I don't think it had anything to do with my hosts (I blame them first - for everything), and may indeed have been a cache problem. But I cannot say for sure!

Once again, apologies for wasting your time, especially at a busy time like this!

 :(

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Yeah, maybe, but if you wasted a minute on every dumb@ss 'report' in these forums it would turn you prematurely grey in no time at all!
