Event reminders only settable on creation and can't find where to set reminder options

Struggling with the calendar system and need some help/advice.

On my 4.1.10 set up, I am able to select the following options when creating an event:

- Sign up for reminders
- Sign up usergroups for reminders.

I can see nothing in there about setting the reminder times or anything else which the help pages seem to indicate should be in there.

Once the event is created, I have two problems:

i) Hitting "subscribe to event" seems to just refresh the page. I receive no confirmation anything has happened and have nothing to edit.
ii) Upon editing an event, there is no option to do anything with reminders, which seems strange.

I think I've configured the various permissions correctly and have been through the forums and help files a fair bit but can't find anything that sheds light on this. Not sure if it's a bug, a screw-up on my system or whether I'm just not understanding the calendar/events system.

Any feedback appreciated.

This is related to your CRON problem, but is also two ocPortal bugs. CRON isn't working, and ocPortal is trying to adapt to that by disabling some reminder functionality - but it's failing to fully disable it, leaving you with some confusing artefacts in the interface that do nothing.

The attached files will fix the problem, but also if you can work out how to enable CRON, it will fix to.

» Download: CALENDAR_SCREEN.tpl (3 Kb, 94 downloads so far)

FYI normally there is a field on the add form where you specify the reminder time in hours, but that's hidden - it was meant to hide all the reminder fields there. You then manage your reminders from the view screen - it will have been prepopulated with whatever reminders you choose at the point of adding, and those can be manipulated and new people may add reminders too.

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms.
