What CCS tag would do the light blue to the right of the logo and above the links?

I am just looking for what to type to generate that color.
is it <div class=row2> or some thing else.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

You mean the blue border above "Website | Forums | Personal Zone", etc? That's part of an image.

Perhaps you can attach a screenshot showing what it is you're talking about?

I don't know the answer, but I'll tell you how I'd find out :).

What I'd do is:
  • keep a copy of the ocPortal files on my computer
  • get a copy of a fairly decent paint program
  • take a screenshot of the website and open it up in the paint program
  • find the colour code for the pixel you want the colour of. I use Paint Shop Pro which tells me the HTML colour code directly, but it's fairly easy to convert between whatever the paint program gives you
  • open up all the ocPortal CSS files in a text editor on your computer - or in this case, just global.css and ocf.css would be enough.
  • run a search through all those files for the HTML colour code you found. It's then usually fairly easy to work out which is the right class based on what they're called.

Become a fan of ocPortal on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Twitter.
Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Will pixie work?
On IPb I look though the templates and look for DIV's and then copy them to other parts of the site to see what color it does or what it does.
