I am currently trying to set up my vBulletin Forums to be integrated with ocPortal, to be honest, that is not the part that I am worried about, the part I want to know is, has anyone any clue how to set the ocPortal Database up for using a vBulletin forum? I do not want to lose any members or have them register again for the Forums. If anyone has any insight on how to do this, please let me know, thank you.

Have you considered using the importer and switching to ocPortals Native forum? I believe there is a VB importer.

This would ensure constant compatibility and with the new changes coming to ocPortal you might find a more integrated product better. However, if your sure you want to keep the VB system as your forum I imagine all should go well but be sure to back up everything first and preferably try it out on a test server if you can. I have not used it with VB so I can't offer any better advice than that sorry.

I suspect you may have already done it, but 'just-in-case', perhaps a quick look at …

Nuances of forum integration

AND

Importing data into ocPortal

… will go a long way towards explaining things.

Take my advice. I'm not using it!
