I think I have asked this before but I can't seem to find the original answer. My question is how do I "fix" or "lock" the outer background theme image from being able to scroll with the website?

Any help is always appreciated and thanks in advance.

Also does anyone know what size I should make my outer background image so that it looks good after I find the way to lock it from scrolling?

I think background-attachment: fixed does this.

Thanks for the feedback duder911 but I went into my global.css and it already has the "background-attachment:  fixed" code. Is there a different code that I need to change that to do you know?

Try finding this (in global.css):

background: url('{$IMG;,outer_background}');

and adding fixed to it, like this:

background: fixed url('{$IMG;,outer_background}');

Jason, that worked perfectly. Thank you so much :)

That's interesting. So I guess setting 'background' overrides all other background properties declared before it, defaulting any ones that aren't included. I always assumed it would only override ones that are included.
