Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

Head over to compo.sr for our new site, and to our migration roadmap. Existing ocPortal member accounts have been mirrored.

It takes 3 or more clicks just to get to your open tickets.
It would be nice if you just had a link that would allow me to go directly to my open tickets.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

Ami,

Not sure if you have done this yet but you can make permission based menus. I have created a menu Group called Staff that only the Staff members can see and it includes direct links to:
  • Validate (yourdomain/adminzone/index.php?page=admin_unvalidated)
  • Support Tickets (yourdomain/site/index.php?page=ticket&type=misc)
  • Search Members (yourdomain/site/index.php?page=search&id=ocf_members)

I have included the links to these in the ()

It was meant to this site.
To get to the support ticket list you have to do this.
Click on support.
Then bug reports
The support tickets

Just to get to the tickets you opened.

I would much prefer to just click on support and have a link directly to the tickets some where on that page.

If it was for my site I would just put it in the side menu. I am unsure of what you were getting at rick sorry.

Thats more clicks actually.
With that you have to:
Click on community.
Then forums.
Then personal zone
Then my business support tickets.

I'm afraid we can't add it to primary navigation as then too many people will start using it instead of posting on the forum. We currently make it quite clear the tickets aren't for free support, yet people still open up support tickets asking questions about using ocPortal - making the link more obvious would make the problem worse and going forward we just can't justify the support load that imposes on us. We could add lots of text or whatever to the posting screen to explain when to use support tickets, but if people are trying to save clicks they are probably going not to read the text we write either. That's just our experience unfortunately.

If we reply to a ticket a notification is sent, so there's usually no need to manually go back and check a ticket.
