Well-settled

Been sitting here again trying to work on my website and was wondering about half a dozen times: Why cant i add boxes to my forum overview?

Would it be possible to consider changing the forum to works as, for example the Frontpage or the Admin zone Frontpage? Maybe by putting the code for showing forum overviews into boxes and so on. Making maybe a "modular" version of the OCF that allows to be modified. It's not much i wish to see changed, but i would love to remove, for example the Header "FORUM HOME" from it as i would love to add a box underneath the forums.
Any chances?

Cheers

Template editing. You can add blocks to any template.

Greetings,

Unless you have specific code in your templates for you differing themes, you could simply copy/paste the modified template into your other themes. That way you write and check once, and copy paste the template as needed.

Now if you have made actual template changes, then you'll have a little more work ahead of you.

Or if you do it in the default theme, it will be inherited.

That is brilliant! Man.. learn something new every day.

Nachtwind, why are you doing that? OCF is very modular with templates. You can make info boxes and the like in the OCF Template files. I make use of it, just check out the site in my sig and see.

But really, I didn't realize that themes would inherit templates from default theme after being made. That is a large time saver right there.

Well, i thought (till now) that would be easier.. but i guess the best way is to go through the templates.

I must admit - i have only seen today, that you can access the templates contextual - i always assumed one had to look through the code anyway and therefore thought modifying the code would be best ,0)
