As the title asks, is it possible?

Example: (Using what I'm planning on building), I am building a gaming clan site for a game I play, but it's not an official site, more of a fan site (I have permission from the game's owner/writer). The game is set up with 3 opposing factions, where, within each, there are several smaller clans. My goal for the site is to house all 3 factions in separate zones, with separate chats, forum sections, etc. I know how to set permissions and all of that, but my question is, is it possible to modify the site registration form to ask custom questions (ie: What is your (gamename) main character? or What faction are you a part of in (gamename)?). I want to use this to know what usergroup to set each site member in so that, they may see only their own faction's pages and not the other 2 faction's pages/forum sections.

You can use Custom Profile Fields (http://DOMAIN/adminzone/admin_ocf_customprofilefields/ad.htm).

For each CPF, you can specify if it's requires and if it should be displayed on the join form.

Question is, how do I get to this file? I used that url (put my domain in for domain) and get a 404 error…

Try this …

Admin Zone » Tools » Members » Custom Profile Fields »Add Custom Profile Field

Take my advice. I'm not using it!
