Does it work?

Dear All,

Well I have been trying to import an ical file as it could save me days of time rather than entering each even individualy as the recurrence code does not seem to work properly when delaing with something like the yearly on the third thursday in april.

However, I have not been able to import the ical from outlook 2010 into the oc portal calendar. Is it broken or is there some tips I can make use of to import it.
Best Wishes,
Truffs

This would be considered monthly, with a recurrence pattern of 100000000000. This is because you can only set the month-based event dating on a monthly recurring event.

That said – I tested, and it didn't work due to a bug. Recurrence patterns and complex monthly events weren't working together. Maybe that's what caught you. Fix coming soon.

However, I have not been able to import the ical from outlook 2010 into the oc portal calendar. Is it broken or is there some tips I can make use of to import it.

It should work, but it's not been used commonly and there could be something anomalous in this particular ical feed, or the code might be making too many assumptions.

Well, I have fixed it - but I am just running some ical tests at the moment, then I'll release a hotfix.

If you can post an ical file that doesn't work for you (or email chris@ocportal.com) I will test that too.
