When I place my banner wave block on a page I'm getting an error code that reads:

-A parameter, EXTRA, is referenced in the template, BLOCK_MAIN_BANNER_WAVE, but not passed-

So I looked into the BLOCK_MAIN_BANNER_WAVE.tpl and it looks like this:

{+START,IF,{$EQ,{EXTRA},side}}
<div class="banner_side">
{ASSEMBLE}
</div>
{+END}
{+START,IF,{$NEQ,{EXTRA},side}}
<div>
{ASSEMBLE}
</div>
{+END}

Can anyone help me with this? I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance, The LocalMC

Your BLOCK_MAIN_BANNER_WAVE.tpl was probably overridden on v8. On v9 it doesn't use all this complex code, CSS3 os used to make it automatically look nice on both panels and the main area.

This there any way to fix this error without re-installing v9?

Presumably you overrode the template into your theme - so you need to go edit it again and put the original code back in.

Or if you didn't override it, but you have old files left behind, then run the integrity checker inside the upgrader to find out which ones.
