New to using OC forums, and in our forum we are trying to edit signatures. In WYSIWYG editing, I was able to add an image, but now I am getting an error message and can't get back to the signature edit, can someone please tell me how to fix this? Several of our members have had issues trying to edit their signatures, our group is all about MAKING siggys, so for us to have issues is very frustrating.

TIA

This page contains the following errors:

error on line 4322 at column 6: Opening and ending tag mismatch: div line 0 and p

Hi,

What version of ocPortal are you running?

Become a fan of ocPortal on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Twitter.
Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Version 8.1.2 I guess, I'm an admin for our forum, but I do most of the forum related stuff, but not the owner. I can get into everything (i think) to edit, and i am new to most of the updated HMTL and am clueless with anything else, so if anyone can walk me through it would be a lifesaver. Short of deleting the member profile the error occurs, i'm at a loss

8.1.4 is the latest in the v8 line, and I think it has this fixed.

Will it change all of the settings we currently have if I change it?

Not if you do it as a proper upgrade, following the instructions – definitely don't do it as a reinstall.

Make a back up the site files and DB first but the upgrade should not affect most of your configurations except maybe some customizations you may have made to default files. But those should be faurly easy to re-integrate if you did.
