Hey,

I wanted to post a very quick run-down of what we currently have in github, as an FYI to the community members working out of it :)

master: This is v8, which is being maintained with fixes.

v9: v9, stable.

v10: This is the development branch, and is currently under heavy work finishing off infrastructure cleanups and infrastructure extension to support some new functionality. I'm doing this for the client project I am currently working on, which is the current emphasis for me. I've started by cleaning up all the legacy stuff that has developed since v1, and then AJAX/frames is going to be upgraded, and then I can build new functionality knowing that the base is as consistent as possible to support the needed ramp up in infrastructure complexity. It will be quite some time before this branch will become an ocPortal release as I need to prioritise the client work first, and because v9 has only just come out ;) – but when it comes it will be a nice 'reset' to erase a lot of legacy junk that was built into the PHP base (while maintaining database&theme compatibility with v7-v9).

Sounds Awesome. If I have time to work on projects I would like to, I will develop mainly for the v9 branch for now since I am afraid of what changes may come in v10 lol.

That's fine. Changes are shuffled up anyway.

So if a fix is made in master, it'll get into v9 when a merge is done with master changes, and into v10 when a merge is done with v9 changes.
