I noticed that when comments are made about an image in the gallery that they all go to one topic. well each image makes its own topic.
My question is I would like to know if it is possible to change which topic the feed back comments posts in.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

This would involve changing the PHP code, and I don't think it is something I can quickly step through.

ah darn I was hopping it would be an sql table change.
It does explain why when I looked for any sign in the sql for which topic it was pointing to I could not find it.
Is the same thing try about catalogues?

Yes. Lines 741-744 of site/pages/modules/galleries.php are indicative of how modules do this:

Code

      do_comments($myrow['allow_comments'],'images',strval($id),build_url(array('page'=>'_SELF','type'=>'image','id'=>$id,'root'=>$root),'_SELF'),do_lang('HERE','','','',get_lang()),get_value('comment_forum__images'));
      //do_trackback($myrow['allow_trackbacks'],'images',$id);
      $rating_details=get_rating_text('images',strval($id),$myrow['allow_rating']);
      $comment_details=get_comment_details('images',$myrow['allow_comments'],strval($id));

(the first and last line). This basically makes/pulls-out comments based on:
  • a code-name for the content-type ('images' in this case)
  • an ID field (the ID of the image in this case)
  • and since 3.2 a custom forum name also.
There's no scope currently coded in for specification of the topic name, other than automatically via the combinations of these things.
Like everything, it can be changed, but it's not simple.

Well actually what I want to do is create the topics first then link the catalogies and image comments to each one.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.
