I've enabled "Alphabetical member directory browsing" and when I click on a letter I expect it to show me only members names starting with that letter, or a "no members starting with 'x'" type message. But what I get is strange.

I have members admin and testMember.

If I click #,A-S, I get both admin and testMember.
If I click T-Z, I get testMember only.

Do you have a Samsung Galaxy S / Galaxy S II ? If so, why not check out my ScreenFree FM Radio .

It just jumps to the page where the letter starts. Otherwise we'd have problems with the page sequence no longer being coherent.

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

I see, that's a shame. In that case I'll just disable it for now.

Yep, so what I said in my first reply was a load of nonsense. Part of the issue is what I said was not happening ;). Now I can't address what you've asked for directly as it would mean loads of new code, so actually now the 'a' and 't' link will go to the same screen because it's where both 'a' and 't' start. Obviously on a bigger member database that won't happen.
