Hey everybody,

back again after long time of absence.

Is it possible to realise the following thing in some way (when a image title is set):

With my old adjusted v7 I could make this simply by adding "
{_TITLE*}
" to the GALLERY_IMAGE.tpl. I reckon it's a little bit more complex to do that. But I don't understand the mechanism. How can I pass the new parameter to the template?

Best regards
Falko

Well, seems to be a little bit more complex, as I got no answer so far. That's why I purchased some credit points to get commercial support (Budget priority) for it. If you don't need I will for sure use them later :)

Best regards

Hi,

I was going to take a look at this for free, but I am knee deep in v9 changes at the moment so I suspect I'll be replying tomorrow. It sounds like a bug to me.

 • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
 • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

But I would suggest to use h2 instead of h3 for the title:

Btw: How can I use the codebox tag?

This looks really ugly:

Code

<br /> &lt;h2 class=&quot;gallery_tooltip_description&quot;&gt;<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp; {$TRUNCATE_LEFT,{TITLE},100,0,0}<br /> &lt;/h2&gt;<br />

Is this how it should looks like?

Best regards
Falko

I used h3 because the template may be used under a block, which is likely to use h2 itself.

In the next generation of standards it doesn't matter if heading levels are skipped, but it does if they aren't hierarchical so that's my main concern nowadays.

I have just fixed the codebox issue. That's been plaguing us for ages, I only just worked out how to reproduce it.
