Any help would be appreciated

I've been using the new 'Activity" add-on feature in my website, and it's awesome! However, I'm suddenly getting weird errors , and the member's names are no longer appearing with their activities when posted. I tried uninstalling it, and re-installing but now I get this error code after it installs -

Database query failed: INSERT INTO ocp_gsp (specific_permission, group_id, the_page, module_the_name, category_name, the_value) VALUES ('syndicate_site_activity', 2, '', '', '', 1) [Duplicate entry '2-syndicate_site_activity---' for key 'PRIMARY']<br /> Database query failed: INSERT INTO ocp_gsp (specific_permission, group_id, the_page, module_the_name, category_name, the_value) VALUES ('syndicate_site_activity', 13, '', '', '', 1) [Duplicate entry '13-syndicate_site_activity---' for key 'PRIMARY']<br /> Database query failed: INSERT INTO ocp_gsp (specific_permission, group_id, the_page, module_the_name, category_name, the_value) VALUES ('syndicate_site_activity', 18, '', '', '', 1) [Duplicate entry '18-syndicate_site_activity---' for key 'PRIMARY']<br /> Database query failed: INSERT INTO ocp_sp_list (p_section, the_name, the_default) VALUES ('SUBMISSION', 'syndicate_site_activity', 0) [Duplicate entry 'syndicate_site_activity-0' for key 'PRIMARY']<br />

So now I've uninstalled and run a file integrity scan and everything seems to be ok. I'd really like to find out how to fix this because I love the activity feature and would like to continue using it with my site. If anyone can help point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - The LocalMC

The error posted here is a small uninstallation bug (not deleting the privilege when it is uninstalled). Please ignore the error, it's non-fatal and we will fix it.

Screenshots of your original concerns please :). I'll then take a look at those.

well i re installed it so that i could get you some screen shot, but the error message that used to appear at the top of the page doesn't seem to be happening this time around. However, when i type something in the status area and click 'update' a flash of text appears under the 'update' button that says 'Something went wrong. If using Comcode, check that it is correct."

Is there a way I can try this myself on your site? I'll need a URL and a username.

the best URL to the activity stuff is either under the "My Account" link at the too, or you can follow: http://www.localmc.com/site/index.php?page=activity

Could you open a ticket with FTP access?

I'm finding a few niggly things on the site I'd like to fix (particularly issues with dark themes, which aren't well tested). It's good for me to help you out while making use of the test scenario you present.

I can see the cause of your activity posting issue.

I gave you the link above ;).

The actual cause here is you're running an old version (9.0.1) and we must have an unwritten dependency on a newer one. I'll add a workaround to your site for that.

But mainly I want to test my fixes to button face colour, tab background colour, etc.

Well-settled

@thelocalmc

Mine does this too.  It only appears for 2-3 seconds then disappears and appears to update correctly in the activity feed below the update.

after the message disappears I get this:

It seems to be more of a warning then anything else... as far as I can tell.  Maybe someone (read everyone) else knows more....

Thx.

If you want to open a bug report ticket with FTP details, I'll debug this for you on your live site. It's not happening for most people, so I can't currently reproduce it.

Community saint

Chris, I have the same problem as Larry1957 now today. Also the ajax function is not working, that mean that the update function is not working. The text was seeing after screen refresh.

Update:
Oke after trying it again, now the long text was accepted, and no error. But I have to refresh the screen to see the updated text.

Harry.
