There's something I don't understand...

I have a new installation of ocPortal and I want to do something fairly simple - set up some groups, assign users to these groups, then make a zone for each and let them have their own resources in these zones.
But… I make a new zone and assign permissions only to the respective group for it. Then, I add a page to that zone. One would think this page is visible to the group only, but no - everyone sees it? What's the point of the zone then, and is there something fundamental I am missing?
Ideally, what I would like to achieve:
- every group of users has its own zone, forum, file dump, CEDI etc.

Hi pavka! Could you post a screen shot or two outlining the issue? Things should work as you've described. Picture is worth a 1000 words. ;)

Apparently, it's another case of non-obvious functionality… When I created the page, I left the permissions as the default, which apparently gave everybody access. When I unticked every box there - yes, it behaved as it was supposed to. The permission for the group that owns the "zone" to access the page is implied, but not seen anywhere so the interface is confusing.
Apart from that, it raises the question - that means that I can't make a zone (or part of it) accessible to not one, but two or more groups - right?

Good point here: OCP could possibly benefit from a "permission checker" when saving a page that suggests a matching of permissions with that of the zone in which it is being saved to.

Forgive me, but I'm not understanding the question….

I want to have a shared zone, which can be accessed by two different groups of people.

Also, at some point in the future, I may want nested groups :-)
Basically, this is my idea: www.os-dreams.com/forum/topicview/misc/3.htm?kfs12=0
I want a platform where people publish ideas, then form "work groups" and start working on these ideas until they actually achieve what they wanted (i.e. - not just "discuss" stuff as on forums, but really "do" it).
Some of those groups would obviously intersect in something (i.e. - they will have a shared goal), and then some will break into smaller groups which are however part of a bigger one (for example - I want to build a site so I have a large team broken up into groups: programmers, designers, editors, administration etc.).
