Greetings,

For the actual file/zone name, If I Recall Correctly™, upper and lowercase do not apply.

So here's what you do:

1.) For code name, you do something like fred1 and fred2 (for the two different zones).

2.) For title, you do fred and FRED (for the two different zones).

That should do the trick I think.

I'll try to lay it out more clearly with screenshots to show what I am talking about. Having just done this, I know that it works.

STEP 1: Add New Zone.
STEP 2: Codename for new zone: fred1
STEP 3: Title for new zone: fred

That gives us this:

STEP 4: Add New Zone.
STEP 5: Codename for new zone: fred2
STEP 6: Title for new zone: FRED

That gives us this:

You can see here that both zones now exist.

You see, codename doesn't care about capital or lower case. It just has to be a different code name for each zone. The title is the name that shows up in the zone when you visit it. In that way you can have your fred and FRED zones.

I hope this helps, and good luck!

I haven't tested anything or viewed these links, but I can say the MySQL collation is probably an issue here. If a case-sensitive collation was applied to the zones table, maybe it would solve it.

If I answered something that you think should be in the documentation, please take the initiative and add it to the community documentation. We really need people to help out here and build a well-organised large support resource.

What does not work as now have

http://fred.com/fred1.htm
http://fred.com/fred2.htm

and no

http://fred.com/FRED/start.htm
http://fred.com/fred/start.htm
I think there is a bit of confusion here. If you followed what mythus said you will have TWO DIFFERENTLY NAMED ZONES, either of which can be called up by URL, BUT, you need to be careful how you identify them, e.g.

Code

[url="FRED"]http://fred.com/fred1.htm[/url]

[url="fred"]http://fred.com/fred2.htm[/url]
… which will then display as …
OR

(hint: mouseover to see the URL's being called)

Did that clarify things a little better?

Take my advice. I'm not using it!
