How do I add wysiwyg to the catalogues?

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

WYSIWYG will work with Comcode input fields, but only on Internet Explorer. Firefox crashes when more than one WYSIWYG editor is open so we had to make the decision that we'd only use WYSIWYG on Firefox for the main posting area, and there isn't such a thing on a catalogue form.

I don't think I understand the question.

what about allowing it just on one field with wysiwyg and not the rest or that other thing I had mentioned?

I'm afraid I still don't understand how the WYSIWYG enable/disable link relates to the Firefox problem.

I looked back though my posts and I still do not see where you got the idea of the link to enable and disable the WYSIWYG.
I never even asked about the  link.

I assumed that 'the thing when WYSIWYG was closed' referred to the 'enable link' (which shows only when WYSIWYG is closed). However, now I think you're referring to the button toolbar.
The Javascript behind the toolbar has been written to be able to work in situations other than the main posting form where it is normally shown. Therefore the FORM_PAGE_INPUT_TEXT template could be edited to make use of it. I don't have time to step through that I'm afraid, but basically you'd have to add something (I can't debug/finish it myself) like add this to the template…

Code

{+START,{$MATCH_KEY_MATCH,cms:cms_catalogues}}
{+START,INCLUDE,COMCODE_EDITOR}
BUTTONS={+START,INCLUDE,COMCODE_EDITOR_BUTTON}
FIELD={NAME}
TITLE={!INPUT_COMCODE_url}
B=url
{+END}
MICRO_BUTTONS={+START,INCLUDE,COMCODE_EDITOR_MICRO_BUTTON}
FIELD={NAME}
TITLE={!INPUT_COMCODE_b}
B=b
{+END}
POSTING_FIELD={NAME}
{+END}
{+END}

I've done that the Tempcode-inclusion way, and only for two of the buttons. To be honest I don't know if Tempcode is going to be able to handle all that without hitting some kind of limitation (it's pushing what it's design for quite hard). The other way to do it is to just duplicate the behaviour of the templates I was including directly into the FORM_PAGE_INPUT_TEXT template.

I suggest that for a future version.
This will make things hard for me not being able to have the wysiwyg as I will have to create a post in cedi and save it and then click on edit and disable the wysiwyg and copy the content and put it in the field I want it in on the catalogue entry.
its what I been doing any way cuz the cedi does not have a comment and no one would tell me how to disable downloads in the download system.
Its bad each system has a part of what I need but non of them do fully what I need alone.

I have a suggestion to fix both problems.

Allow the wysiwyg on only one field at a time so when a field is set up to have the support commcode as it should only be on those.
Here is how it would go.
as your feeling out the fields you have an option next to it to turn wysiwyg on then if you go down to another field that has that option it and you turn it on it will close it on the first one and it will open on the next on.

Non-joined user

Would it not work better to have One editor open and it only works where the curser is?

With that set up you would not need to worrie about having to many editors open causing the browser to crash.
