When a user comments on a gallery image, it puts a post in the 'comments'  forum as it should, but I noticed they are all 'unvalidated'..    so I must have one of the levels of content areas set wrong in permissions.

All registered users should not need validation for such a thing.   Is it low/med/high?

Thanks
Paul

Paul,

Take a look at ocPortal Tutorial: Access control and privileges

BUT, a general rule of thumb which I made a note of some time ago, and which has held me in good stead, is:
  • Low: forum posts, cedi posts, calendar events
  • Mid: download, iotd, poll, banner, catalogue entry, authors, forum topics
  • High: current iotd, current poll, quizzes/surveys/competitions, comcode pages
Hope that helps …

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Yeah, it shows (in privileges) that one crossed out, meaning it is overridden elsewhere.  Looked at that particular forum, that is set ok.   So not sure why blog/gallery comments are coming up invalidated in that forum.

But I haven't had a lot of time to fiddle with it recently.
