Where are the Doc's, Video's & Tutorials?

There many links on various place within the site pointing to Video's, Tutorials and other documentation. Clicking on such (any) link I get:
The requested URL /ocportal/docs7/ was not found on this server. or The requested URL /ocportal/docs7/pg/tut_statistics was not found on this server.
and so on for all of them, which means not one is working.

Could someone point me in the right direction where those infos are located and how to get access to them.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

You debranded and gave a new brand URL, but it warns if you do so you must provide your own copy of the docs on that URL ;). Docs are available from our addon directory, but honestly you're better off simply going back to the debrand tool and wiping out the custom brand URL.

Hm….., I changed the Site name only, NOT the URL!

Anyway, those Infos even were not been available directly after installation.

Could you please point me to the location of the infos so I could get access to them?

You definitely didn't run through the debrand module? (Admin Zone > Style > Debrand)

The Brand Base-URL should be left as http://ocportal.com (I said blank before, my mistake). You don't change the site name in here at all, so I'm a bit confused. You might have also changed the brand name here?

Yeah this is weird. I wonder if you used a third party installer and they maybe had modified one of our templates. I know one of them alters the FOOTER template, so maybe they altered the template that provides the link also.

In the GLOBAL.tpl template, it should have this line:

Code

<div class="global_helper_panel_text">{$URLISE_LANG,{!TUTORIAL_ON_THIS},{$BRAND_BASE_URL*}/docs{$VERSION*}/pg/{$GET*,HELPER_PANEL_TUTORIAL},,1}</div>
(line 65).

I wonder if it has been changed to something like:

Code

<div class="global_helper_panel_text">{$URLISE_LANG,{!TUTORIAL_ON_THIS},{$BRAND_BASE_URL*}/ocportal/docs{$VERSION*}/pg/{$GET*,HELPER_PANEL_TUTORIAL},,1}</div>

I'm not sure, it's really weird. I just ran a test now and it was normal.

I'm assuming you're referring to the links in the help panel.

I've used the Softaculous installer for to install the OcPortal Script.

I had just deleted the Cookies and flush the Cache again.

Now I could access from Admin Zone the Doc's Help section. Still I get an 404 error if I try to access Content Management from within the Front page:
The requested URL /ocportal/cms/index.php was not found on this server.
This is also happens from with the Admin Zone.

For the other errors, I've to recheck all the different pages again which will need some time.

Thanks for the help.

This is getting weirder. So now it is not just docs, but parts of your own site? Did you move the site or something like that?

No, NOT Doc's anymore, that's working since the delete of Cookies and reflush!

But still the Content Management, which wasn't working from beginning as well. Clicking on Content Management button and get the 404 error!

I didn't had moved, delete or otherwise edited any files from within the ocportal folder. All is still at the same place were it was installed with the Softaculous installer.
Again, other error, I need to recheck all pages again and that need a bit of time.

Woah, that's one of the main parts of ocPortal, you'd not be able to get anything done at all without that. You could download the manual package from our site and upload from there, but also please report to the Softaculous guys.

Funny old world!

I reported something similar a few weeks back - my CMS folder was missing in its entirety - when I used cPanel on my host to install ocPortal (7.1.3 or 7.1.4).

Not good for quax, but good to know the problem can be replicated.

Manually FTPing the folder solved my problem, and I know it will solve his!

Addendum:

Link to ocPortal 7.1.5 (manual)

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

I downloaded the whole OC Portal package and transfered the CMS folder to my installed OC Portal.

I also transfered the admin_bulkupload.php to adminzone, regarding the info from Chris Graham.

Both didn't work!

Content Management:

First: I'm wonder why I'v an Folder called tit-cms in my installed OcPortal?!

Clicking on the Content Management button gives the following error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Module_cms_banners in /home/tithosti/public_html/ocportal/tit-cms/pages/modules/cm
s_banners.php on line 454

As I'm not a PHP programmer, I don't know how to handle that. I've the CMS and the TIT-CMS folder now and that means 2 cms-banner.php files. For me they looking both same. The 2 file are here:
from tit-cms: http://localhostr.com/files/qRzimRb/cms_banners.php
from cms: http://localhostr.com/files/HUO0Cxi/cms_banners%201.php

Bulk Upload Assistant:

Also didn't work:

What could I do?

Thanks for any help and info.

Now I get the following Error by e-mail:
An error occurred at:http://tit-hosting.org/ocportal/cms/index.php?page=start

The full error details follow:

The requested resource (cms:start) does not exist. (Referrer is: http://tit-hosting.org/ocportal/, User agent is: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/534.24 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/11.0.696.14 Safari/534.24)

Any Info?

Thanks.

Slowly it get's more intyeresting!

I installed the ocPortal on an other domain using the same Softaculous installer and there a lot differences:

1. Content Management is working

2. Under the Tools Menu are a total of 12 option while in the old install are just 10, Backups an Bulk Upload Assistent are missing

3. In Configuration under the Setup menu also differences:
Adminsitrative Options old: 8  new: 9
***missing: Backup regularity
Block Options same
eCommerce Options same
Feature Options old: 73  new: 82
***under Footer Links Real-time Rain button missing
***whole Make Backup is missing
***whole News/RSS is missing
***whole Tester is missing
Points Options same
Poin-Stor Options same
Privacy Options same
Member and Forum Options same
Security Options old: 11  new: 12
***whole Super-members ar missing
Site Options old: 96  new: 97
***under Environment Network Membership URL is missing
Theme Options same

Question is now: Is there way to "Upgrade" the existing old installation, even is the latest build?

I had quite some changes and also some bigger uploads and wouldn't like to start from beginning again. I had also need to push the hoster to up the settings and would like to do that again!

Any advice which helps me is very welcome.

Thanks.

My initial reaction would be to delete everything and do a manual FTP upload. You may have to flush the db and let ocPortal rebuild it for you, too.

Alternatively, since you've identified which files and folders are missing, why not try to upload only those, taking them from the manual installation download that you've already got?

The tit-cms folder looks like it was inserted there by your hosts Scriptaculous installer, and deleting it should resolve the problem. BUT I CAN'T BE SURE, so proceed with caution (back it up first)!!

Let us know how you get on.

I was try to just upload missing files, that didn't work. May it has something to do with the info.php or other config files.

I'm not an PHP programmer so I don't know!

I'll "play" this weekend again with that. It's just pitty that using the same installer the outcome differs so much. But I don't know if the Softaculous guy's having changed something in their installer script the last few days?!

Anyway. Thanks for the answer.
