I get this in the top panel (under site navigation - like "Site | Forums"):

The requested page gave no output.

When I click to edit the page, it has this in the edit box:

Code

{+START,IF,{$AND,{$OCF},{$OR,{$EQ,{$PAGE},recommend},{$EQ,{$PAGE},onlinemembers},{$EQ,{$PAGE},points},{$EQ,{$PAGE},warnings},{$EQ,{$PAGE},contactmember},{$EQ,{$PAGE},groups},{$EQ,{$PAGE},rules},{$EQ,{$PAGE},members},{$EQ,{$ZONE},forum},{$EQ,{$ZONE},personalzone}}}}
[block="_community" type="top"]side_stored_menu[/block]
{+END}

Possibly your COMCODE_PAGE_SCREEN template has been changed around, we've altered this in 4.2 (and through the betas).

Also I wonder if you've renamed the forum zone, as that code should be running for this zone and hece it's not "no output".

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Hi,

I can see the problem with the menu not showing if you rename the zone. To fix that just change 'forum' to whatever you named the zone, in the panel_top page.

However the panel should just disappear, not show an error.
In our COMCODE_PAGE_SCREEN template we have this code:

Code

{+START,IF,{$NEQ,{$SUBSTR,{NAME},0,6},panel_}}{+START,IF_EMPTY,{$TRIM,{CONTENT}}}
   <p class="nothing_here">{!NO_PAGE_OUTPUT}</p>
{+END}{+END}
so that the error only shows for pages that do not start with "panel_".

OH. Actually I think this is due to that mb_substr problem. I think the change ($amount) I gave will fix it.
