When I select members I get a squashed search box.

I am getting a squashed search box when I go to members. What is causing this? I haven't, so far, run in to it anywhere else. The screenshot was taken in SU mode as 'test' but it occurs in admin mode too

Hi,

In order to improve browsing speed, ocPortal puts many of these results browser screens in an iframe, however unfortunately Firefox has been buggy about the calculation of frame heights, so in the past we've had problems auto-sizing the frame. I thought we'd fixed this, or Firefox had, because I haven't seen the problem for a while (except on sites that have changed their base URL - which I don't think applies to you because you'd see a much bigger gap then).
It might be one of your CSS files or templates or Javascript hasn't got one of our fixes in.

One very quick fix is to disable the frame completely. You can do that by typing this into OcCLE:

Code

:set_value('no_frames','1');

I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

I notice on your OpenSourceCMS demo when viewed in IE8 the search box on the MEMBERS section is squashed like on my site.

Hi,

Thanks for bringing it back up – I did see it this time on IE8, and locally, and have been able to fix it. The fix will be in 4.3.1 :).
