Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

Concerns login and resulting success page

I swear I read something about this in the docs, but I've been thru them 2 or 3 times now and can't find what I thought was there.

After someone signs in, I don't want it to go to the same page as the page they signed in with, which is what is happening now. I think I want it to display the 'Site' page.

I'm pretty sure it's easy to do, but a gentle nudge on the best way to do this would be appreciated.

Hi,

There's no feature specifically for this. However, you can use the Comcode 'if_in_group' tag to make things appear differently to Guests/non-guests.

Here is an example of what Chris has recommended; the way I use it on my site to greet 'Members' and 'non-Members'.

You could probably adapt it to how you want to use it on your site:

 [if_in_group="2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13"]{+START,BOX,Members,100%,curved}[block]main_greeting[/block]

In this case, 'Visitors' (group 1) get a slightly different welcome message to registered 'Members' (the other groups).
