Warning: is_file open_basedir restriction in /httpdocs/sources/global2.php

Installation has been fine thus far, but when I arrived at the configuration page I found the following message at the top of the page:

Warning: is_file() []: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(../closed.html) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/ in /var/www/vhosts/ on line 68

Can anyone tell me what I should do about this?

Can't get any further. Further error message reads:

PHP WARNING [2] Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/vhosts/
l2.php:68) in /var/www/vhosts/
.php on line 167 (version: 7.1, PHP version: 5.2.17, URL: /)

Does this fix it?

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Yes!!!!! Thank you for the very quick response! I have been going nuts trying to install different CMS's over the last few weeks and I'm really hoping that I've finally found a good'un!
