Fan in action

This appears to be a very trivial bug, but I thought I would mention it.
I went to the main CMS Zone page and used the admin editing tool "Translate Website Content: English".
I noticed that there was a string that says it is stored in a funny place.

The text paths for "Modifications" are :

(Title)
config \ audio_bitrate \ config_value

(Description)
catalogues \ modifications \ c_description

The path for Modifications Title should be: catalogues \modifications \ c_title

Nope, I'm pretty sure this is correct. 'c_title' and 'c_description' are different database fields, and what you have there looks correct (the title is a title, and the description is a description). This is all automatically generated so I don't think it could be wrong unless it was all wrong.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Community saint

I think he is refering to the fact that it says

config \ audio_bitrate \ config_value  and NOT c_title

It looks strange to me but then I don't know enough to know if he may have used a wrong value somewhere else to cause this.

Yes he replied, you're both right. I think actually somehow on his system a language string got shared between two fields.
