Hi,
Did any1 integrate any of those yet?
I tried but got a huge load of error messages like this:
PHP NOTICE [8] Undefined index: OCF_DRIVER in sources\ocf_general.php on line 39 (version: 9.0.2, PHP version: 5.3.5, URL: /ocportal/)

Is integration for those softwares planned?

You've found a bug there, in that the default v9 panels are assuming OCF is in use. I'll tackle that first, then answer your questions.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

There's the fix: 0000833: Default panel_top/panel_bottom assuming OCF - ocPortal feature tracker

There is no support for anything above vBulletin 3. There is a small chance it will work, but it has never been tested and it seems unlikely their database and cookie structures haven't changed.

Essentially new third-party forums can only be supported if someone sponsors development of a new forum driver, or if someone volunteers to code one up.
