Searched the forum an it appears that all the discussion regarding the Facebook add-on is for v6.

I am just curious to see if anyone is using this add-on with v7 and if they are having success or diffilculties with it.

Thanks for any input.

I am using version 7.1 beta1 and it seems to be working perfectly with it.

I tried it on version 7.0.1 and had some troubles….but never really tried very hard. I was to busy with other things.

Thanks for your reply, Brian.

Since I have my hands full with getting the site ready for launch, maybe I will just wait till v7.1 before implementing Facebook. I hope 7.1 is not too far away as I'd like to launch with Facebook (and, maybe, OpenID integration).

That's one thing I like about ocPortal compared to other CMS products. They attempt to set a date when a new release will be issued. For ocPortal, it's….

It'll be ready when it's ready!

I admit, it's suspenseful and sometimes a good finger tapping.

I hate artificially-imposed deadlines. While I am always anxious for the newest and greatest, I'd rather it be delivered working than to meet a previously announced deadline.

Besides, ocPortal seems to be on a pretty quick-release schedule compared to a lot of software. I don't know how many developers they have but they seem to crank out a lot of high-quality code at an impressive speed.

I hope Chris enjoys this post from me because I am preparing for another rant.   :P
