v7.0.1 - Missing date range selector for stats

In Audit >> Site statistics, the Overview, Users online statistics & Submission statistics tools do not have a date range option.

On a related minor note, all the stats tools that do have a date range selector refer to "The start/end of the time range." instead of date.

I noticed these in v7.0.1 but have also checked that they are still there in v8-RC7.
Do you have a Samsung Galaxy S / Galaxy S II ? If so, why not check out my ScreenFree FM Radio .

I believe the overview is just meant to present the current state of the site, and that the line graphs are meant to give an idea of site growth from start to finish – hence no browsing by date. I'm not saying browsing by date wouldn't be useful, but it's not in the intended design so would be a new feature.

Fair point. I suppose I was just expecting consistency and didn't think too hard about why the overview should be different.

Fair point about the overview. I suppose I was just expecting consistency and didn't think too hard about why the overview should be different.

My Users online statistics stats only shows data for 2 days only, 11 & 15th June 2011. Also if there are going to have entries every few days the list is going to get very large over time.

Similarly with Submission statistics. Although that one has 50 entries between 11 June & 18 November 2011.

I accept that reasoning for overview as it only generates one entry per month, but the other two are essentially daily entries and can therefore grow large quite quickly.

I haven't checked how these work recently, but they won't be growing too large because that would have come up as a bug by now. The results themselves might be paginated, or cutoff, but it won't be showing everything at once.

The users online stats only logs records, which is a known area for improvement 0000037: Improve users online statistics - ocPortal feature tracker

I see what its doing now. In submission statistics, the list is truncated to 50 items (not paginating) and I have to sort it in descending order to see the latest items.

And in users online statistics, because it only records peaks the second (and last) item shows an abnormally high 62 members online at once at a time when I only had 21 members.

Just as well I mainly look at Google Analytics for my stats.

Just a FYI. As I'm using v7.0.1 I received the following error after applying the patch:
HP ERROR [1] Call to undefined function utctime_to_usertime() in /public_html/mydomain.com/adminzone/pages/modules/admin_stat
s.php on line 264 (version: 7.0.1, PHP version: 5.3.10, URL: /adminzone/pg/admin_stats/page)

And I fixed it by changing 3 instances of utctime_to_usertime to servertime_to_usertime.

Clearly that function was renamed/changed sometime after v7.0.1.
