When logged in as a admin, quizzes/surveys/tests not honoring "Reattemption time" at all.

When logged in as a member, "Reattemption time" is not honored when user hits back in the browser button (I know the page in the in browser cache, but the server side should reject it on submission).

Haven't tested any other user types. Just using the default 96 hours.

(I hope there aren't too meny bugs left :'(, I'd like to start focusing on my site just a tad more ;).)

Do you have a Samsung Galaxy S / Galaxy S II ? If so, why not check out my ScreenFree FM Radio .

There's a permission "Bypass quiz repeat-time restriction" which is applying to admin.

The reason for the behaviour for users is that connection problems could stop the user seeing the results (e.g. if they submit and their connection goes down but perhaps asynchronously so the server did get the first submission). Perhaps not as bad a problem as it used to be on the net.

Maybe I can remove that.

  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

I think this is the fix – does this make you happy or sad? ;)

I never could understand why you would want anyone to be able to do that.

For surveys, when the repeat-time expires and a survey is re-submitted, does that mean that you will have two survey results from that user?

If so, that could potentially invalidate results if the survey creator is not careful (especially for any surveys that run for longer then the default repeat-time of 4 days). Surveys should not have repeat-times.

Probably it won't get used much, but I don't try and second guess what people might ever want in terms of flexibility. Most people will definitely want to leave it blank though.

I didn't even realise that you could leave it blank, I just assumed that there had to be a number there because there was indication that blank was valid.

Also, as the advanced section is collapsed when you create new quizzes, setting it to blank for surveys is easily overlooked. Maybe the default should be blank if you select a survey.

At least the option is there   .
