I've fallen victim to the evil horizontal scrollbar when editing a new theme. You can see the attachment or I can send you to the site.

I've tried the overflow: auto in my CSS and no luck. I've tried editing the HEADER to disable it as well. It won't go away… lol

Trying to also fix the width on the box perhaps. My brain is getting fried, tho.

Well-settled

I get this problem when adding px value instead of % in IE… Highly annoying…  I hope you can solve it!   :)

Hi Eric,

I don't know if this can help:
When I set a fixed width site, I use the following CSS code:
(I never get the horizontal scrollbar problem)

Code

#main_website #body_inner {
width: 980px; /*this is the maximum width for a 1024 overall fixed width, but it could be of any value */
position: relative;
margin: 0 auto 0 auto; /*this will center everything nicely */
/*this is the background for the area within the fixed width */
background-color: transparent;

Eric,

Best I can come up with is changing the overflow: properties for .standardbox_wrap_classic from 'auto' to 'none'.

This might be a bit of 'trial-and-error' to see what other areas of the design are affected, but it certainly gets rid of the 'scrollbar' for this element!

What do you think?

Eric has already responded, but I need to emphasise that my caveat still stands.

Changing something like this in global.css can affect the display in other areas, so make a note of the change and if things start to go pear-shaped, go back and restore it!

 :ninja:

Take my advice. I'm not using it!
