How do I use the TEST member when the site is closed? In v8 I used to type TEST in the box in the footer which would open a new window where I could browse as member TEST but now it only contains the page rendering tool. I have no member list even though the stats say the site has 2 members.

There's a config option controlling whether SU displays in the footer, so I think that must be off. You can manually add ?keep_su=test into the URL though (or &keep_su=test, depending on context).

Not sure about the last list, I'd need to know the URL&error combination.

I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

I am not finding the config option in Setup >Configuration. Where should I be looking?

It's under "Block options", and is "Su".

Not there. This is all that appears for my site's BLOCK OPTIONS:

Block options

Options relating to blocks (note that most block options are defined as parameters to blocks, not in here).

Contents

Option groups

Personal block

The personal block is the block formally named side_personal_stats, and could also be known as the “Login block”. If you are not logged-in it provides a login form, otherwise it provides various options and details relating to your member account.

Site statistics

The site statistics block is the block formally named side_stats, and provides information about your website. You will have chosen whether to use this block or not when you ran the Setup Wizard. It can be added and removed using the Zone Editor.

Most of the options here are counts illustrating how much content is currently on your website.

Ah, actually the option only shows if you have a forum. So you'll have to add it into the URL manually. Sorry for the misinformation.

OK. It works!!!

I used the ?keep_su=test in the URL and it works splendidly! I will feel better once I've checked the website visually and reassured myself before I open it up to the public that I have not left some door or window open a crack for latter problems...
