Question: Is it possible to bunch upload files using FTP to the Download Section of OcPortal?

I'm using V. 7.1.5 and would like to upload a few hundred of mall to medium files, special for Android. To use the "normal" way to upload that would take ages!

Thanks for any info.

Probably you actually want the FTP import thingy. Should be documented.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Just FTP the CMS folder to your installation (you are running another thread with this information) and your problems will be resolved!

Actually admin_bulkupload.php is in adminzone, so sounds like even more is missing from his Softaculous install :S.

I'm now downloading the3 whole package to my PC and will transfer manually to the server what's missing!

Will see all works after that!

Thanks for the time taken.

If you haven't made many modifications, I'd just upload the entire distribution from the manual installer. That way you won't have things popping up down the road.
